MMI recently received a grant in the amount of  $10,500 from the Megan Montgomery Foundation that helps Prevent Domestic Violence and build healthy relationships. The Megan Montgomery Foundation was established in remembrance of Megan Montgomery who had her light extinguished on December 1, 2019, when she was murdered by her estranged husband. The Foundation helps empower students and families to recognize the characteristics of unhealthy relationship behaviors and stop it before it escalates to violence.  MMI stresses the importance of the attribute of respect, as it is an essential element of effective leadership, and this grant is a testament to both organizations’ shared commitment to this ideal, which is also an essential element in combating domestic violence, achieved through education, training, and the promotion of healthy relationships, said MMI President Col. David J. Mollahan, USMC (Ret.).
