ITEM #12: ADOPT RESOLUTION FOR CADENCE BANK

Motion by Cedric Hudson and seconded by Anthony Long to send the resolution (opposing the closing of Cadence Bank) to the City of Uniontown to be approved and adopted as a joint resolution. Motion carried.

ENGINEERING/EMA REPORT:

Reported the ATRIP 2 project 53-2020-053 was approved for a total of $727,949.82, with a county match of $28,294.82.

Motion by Thomas Harrison and seconded by Anthony Long to forward the letter of concurrence and apply the $28,292.82 as county match for the project. Motion carried.

Motion by Anthony Long and seconded by Thomas Harrison to note the intent to purchase a backhoe from Caterpillar with financing through Caterpillar and allow the county engineer to negotiate the terms. Motion carried.

Motion by Thomas Harrison and seconded by Anthony Long to put the old excavator in the JM Wood Auction with a guarantee of at least $40,000. Motion carried.

ITEM #15: HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT SALVAGE VEHICLES

Motion by Cedric Hudson and seconded by Anthony Long to declare the following items as salvage: 1) 1989 Flatbed, 2) Two International dump trucks (6 yards), 3) Two distributors (of tar), and 4) 1987 Chevy Truck. Motion carried.

ITEM #16: RESOLUTION BOARD OF REGISTRARS

Motion by Thomas Harrison and seconded by Anthony Long to send a resolution to Governor Ivey to reinstate Joe Mann, Lucy Kynard and George Washburn to board of registrars with full terms. Yea: Thomas Harrison and Anthony Long; Nea: Albert Turner and Cedric Hudson. Motion tied. (No action can be taken)

ITEM 14: POLICY AND PROCEDURES

Motion by Thomas Harrison and seconded by Anthony Long to reaffirm the 2014 employee policy and procedures manual and travel procedures. Motion carried.

Motion by Thomas Harrison and seconded by Anthony Long to instruct the administrator and accounts payable clerk to present all claims to be paid to all commission members on Thursdays before the meeting, to include payables from general fund transfers etc. If payable falls between time period, present at meeting on a separate claim sheet. Motion carried.
