- Perry County Circuit Court entered an Order dismissing all charges against Albert Fitzgerald Turner Jr. that were included in a Perry County Grand Jury indictment dated January 17th, 2023. The indictment encompassed two counts – one for Misuse of Voter’s Absentee Ballot and one for Voting more than once/ineligible voting.
- Breakthrough Charter School hosted James Spann on campus. He was welcomed by students cheering in the main hallway, and he gave an informative, encouraging presentation to our 4th grade students.
- The Perry County Historical and Preservation Society (PCHPS) established the Drake scholarship in honor of local historian Eleanor C. Drake.
- Main Street Marion along with other partnerships worked on several projects to assist with development and renovations for the city and county. #MovingMarionForward, #OneMarion
