- County was looking towards establishing ambulance service for residents of Marion and Uniontown and put out a new request for Proposal (RFP) for contracted services, as well as beginning the process of establishing a County-owned ambulance service.
- Stephanie Nixon was appointed as the 4-H Regional Extension Agent for Hale and Perry Counties where she will be tasked with creating and executing 4-H programs and activities and collaborate with youth and families to give them the necessary abilities and knowledge to thrive in their academic, professional, and personal lives.
- Seeds of Hope Leader, “Frances Ford” receives Humanitarian of the Year Award for 22 years of service for improving the health and overall quality of life of the residents of Alabama’s Black Belt. Ford was appointed executive director of the program in 2005.
- Chairman Turner held discussion with State Banking Superintendent, Mike Hill, to monitor and oppose any potential closure of Cadence Bank.
